Betty Driver

Betty Driver from Coronation Street has died at 91 she will be missed on the soap R.I.P. So will her Hotpots.

I don't watch CS but remember Betty as an actress from years ago.
She was on the radio recently talking about her life, a lovely woman

Oh no, hadn't heard the news. Was thinking the other day that I hadn't seen her in Corrie for a while. There was a programme on tv recently about her which I haven't watched yet. Thanks for letting us know.

In her younger days she was a singer as well, she had a lovely voice and she was a very good looking lady.

I'm very sorry to hear that she's died. I watched the TV programme of her life not long ago and it was very interesting. I knew she'd been a singer, but didn't know just how famous she was back in the 40s.

There's quite a few songs of Betty's on you tube, also her story is on in sections.
She made a lot of money from singing, she was a big star, then she married an Italian, I think, and he spent all her money, then ran off and left her broke.

Indeed she was a big star back in the 40s. Her story is well worth watching on YouTube.
