28 Years

As of 15 October 2011 I have been working for the same company for 28 years, 26 of them being full time.

How long have you worked for any one company?

Wow that's a long time Molly to work for one company. I've had 3 main jobs and have stayed with each of them for around 10 years. I seem to get itchy feet around the 10 year mark

it is a very long time to work for the same company, i have had a break to bring up my my kids while they were little

and i now work as and when, which is perfect for me and my family

I was in my last employment for 16 years. That's been the longest.

28 years is a long time with one Company....hope you get a good 'golden handshake' Mollie

I was with my company from June 10th 1950 to February 28th 1990.Didn't make 40 years; company was sold and the administrative offices where I worked were moved to Baltimore.

Yes it is a very long time, almost half my life in fact. However, some of the electricians who have worked there were there for 40 years, one of whom is still working there.

It's hard to imagine now that when I started there in 1983 I was still a young woman in my early 30s and now at 62 I'm still there!

So many changes, so many faces, in all that time.

That is a life time to work for one company Mollie.

The longest I worked for anyone was for myself, prior to that the longest was 13 years for Courtaulds.

28 years is a long time, but it also goes to show that you are enjoying working there too.

The longest for me was 13 years and that was working for myself. Where I work now I'm coming up for 8 years in January.

I liked a change after about 6 or 7 years, my longest stay with one company was 14 years, my shortest was 5 hours.
