Remote contols

I asked this question once before in another life, and was surprised at some of the answers
How many remote controls do you have, and use in the course of a day

Re: Remote contols

I believe I have 6. TV, Virgin, DVD, portable DVD, stereo and aircon. Most days I only use the 2 for the TV though. The stereo and portable dvd I never use as find it just as easy to use the controls on the units themselves. Won't be using the aircon one for many months either

Re: Remote contols

I have four, but I no longer use the Sky box. My FreeSat remote also controls the Sony Bravia TV although it has it's own remote. I also have a Sony Blu-ray player with remote.

Re: Remote contols

Just the two. Virgin and because it won't alter the volume the TV one for that. I can't understand the DVD one, even though I've been told how to by an eight year old several times so just press the controls on the player.

Re: Remote contols

I can't imagine how people manage so many I have enough trouble with one

If I accidentally press a button when picking mine up it takes me ages to work out how to put things back as they were
Likewise when I can't find my specs and as I can't read the buttons without them, press buttons willy-nilly

Re: Remote contols

My daughter once bought me one of those huge silver novelty ones. Although I could never get it to speak to the Sky box.

Re: Remote contols

1 - TV - doesn't get used
1 - Sky - used daily
1 - DVD - used occasionally
1 - Hi-Fi - hardly used

So it's only the Sky remote that gets used on a daily basis.
