Restrictions in Melbourne will be eased from tomorrow and the curfew lifted
Melburnians can now exercise within a 5-kilometre radius of their workplaces, if they are able to work on-site, as well as their homes but must carry their essential worker permit.
Up to five people from no more than two households will be able to gather outside.
Weddings will be allowed outdoors, with a limit of five people, including the couple and two witnesses.
Outdoor religious gatherings and ceremonies will be allowed, but with a limit of five people plus one faith leader.
Melburnians will no longer require a permit for childcare, and the 5-kilometre limit will not apply.
One childminder or babysitter will be allowed for in-home childcare
All primary school children will return to on-site learning from October 12.
An extra 127,000 workers will be able to return to various industries in Melbourne, with COVID-safe plans in place.
Warehousing, postal and distribution centres, supermarket and food distribution will no longer have to operate with reduced workforces.
The Premier said that further easing of restrictins will depend on case numbers not a date.
