Good post Barry, the whole TV thing has become totally out of
touch with society as a whole, and is causing other occupations
to become out of step as well, such as darts, snooker, football etc! etc!
although these pursuits do requiren a modicum of skill from the
partisipants!
This phenomenom is not peculiar to the BBC? I believe J Vine is
employed by ITV?
This country is awash with money, but it gets allocated to the
wrong places such as love island etc???

Vine on 5 is made by ITN Productions and distributed by ITV Studios Shine Group but is transmitted on C5. JV also has his weekday show on BBC's Radio2. Then there's his voice over on PoV and all the Election night work he does for the beeb.
