These pencils take a bit of getting used too but they certainly are less messy that having paints hanging around.

What sort of pencils are they? Are they the ones that you wet? Just wondering how you got the lighter hairs over the darker ones.

They are polychromos .
These are hard oil pencils you don’t wet them and getting the highlights is proving tricky as the white polychromo pencil appears to do nothing at all . So you have to plan your white bits first and leave them . So I intend to buy another white a carondache white to try and do them last but I need to go to an art shop to get this and haven’t done so yet .

I see, I can appreciate how difficult it must be to leave the white bits. You have done a great job with the fur.
