Pfizer is supplying something like 5 million doses of their vaccine to Australia from Belgium , again subject to it being approved by the TGA.

The problem of obtaining vaccine will be a major one for poor nations not OECD nations.
My understanding that there is a commitment by the major drug manufacturers to work with COVAX which will oversee the vaccination of 189 of the OECD nations, including the poorest.

For practical reasons, the Astra Zeneca and Johnson and Johnson vaccines will be the ones of choice as we move down the road since, as you mentioned, they are single-dose and can be stored at room temperature.

Even with the commitment of COVAX stakeholders, it is expected that only 10%, the most high-risk of these nations will be vaccinated by the end of 2021.

I see that arch berk and failed would-be PM Jeremy Corbyn is demanding that Covid jabs be given away to other nations and is accusing the PM of `vaccine nationalism`.

Perhaps, after UK citizens have had their jabs, then the excess can be donated but not before. About time Corbyn and crew put Britain's needs first.

We all pay for overseas aid.

If managed effectively, that aid could be directed towards buying jabs.

Temporarily stop the aid, buy lots of jabs, distribute the jabs to where they are needed.

Sad that this is coming on the same day as "Investigation into missing millions of British aid cash" being run today, in the DT.

The villain is reported as the British Virgin Islands.

Never send money!

The BVI? LOL! Out by several thousand miles.

As for overseas aid - something that should NEVER been introduced and should have been ended decades ago.

In any case if we were to donate vaccine there is absolutely no doubt that it would end up being sold wherever it was sent.

It's appearing across the MSM right now. Conclusive proof, if any were needed, that the creature is a ---- well I'm not sure what he is. Unfit for any role in government for sure, and judging by the antics of his soft brother it must be genetic.
Not just him Todger. After several years of them calling the UK an insignificant little island, the EU is begging for our help with the vaccine too. (Saw this in today's DE but I can't find it now.)

It's not just Corbyn saying we should give away our vaccine before our own population is vaccinated .it is also the WHO...
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-55709428

We have already donated £548m to the Covax programme of international vaccination. How many countries would give away their own supply of vaccine before their own population is vaccinated particularly as the UK seems to have had a worse experience of C19 than most other countries.

I agree if we have a surplus of vaccine it could be donated it to other countries .

The second the Oxford vaccine was mentioned, there were those on TV saying how marvellous it was and how we could treat the rest of the World, no mention of our own people of course. If we are to treat the World then we need to be treated first so that we can continue to work for a living, pay taxes and ultimately pay for vaccines in poor Countries. If we all die, who else is going to pay for it?
