Help needed

Perhaps a strange question, but does anyone know of a reputable website that supplies steamed steak and kidney puddings? My husband loves suet steamed puds and i don't fancy tackling one from scratch in case I mess it up - I thought it would be a nice Christmas present for him him, and a real treat. Any help gratefully received.

I remember them coming in a ceramic basin.

Or did the basin come first for Ma & Grandma to make the pudding in?

eccles, I would try a couple of local butchers. There are more & more nowadays cooking trad nosh, sometimes to order.

I always make my own with a recipe in the 'bero' book
You can't go wrong really - just follow the instructions.

I cover it with greaseproof paper & foil & steam in a large pan for 4 -5 hours.

Honestly - it's not hard to make at all.

Eccles, just looked through some reviews and it seems Waitrose own brand is popular, with good meat and kidney and a nice gravy filling.
It says you can freeze them too.

I can't say from experience, because I haven't tried them, but might be worth looking into it, do you think?
If it was nice, you could get a couple for the freezer for, maybe.

Does your local butcher not sell them? not saying I have seen them in my butchers which has a deli but also not looked.
