Christmas Spirit in short supply in Newbury

A story to make you weep, especially at the so called season of goodwill. So much for the parable of The Good Samaritan!

I can't either for the same reason.

That has made my blood boil. What a load of tossers. I hope the adverse publicity makes them change their minds.

Predictable these days.

My immediate thought was to think of the difference between what used to happen during the war years, when everyone pulled together, and what happens today when greed is prevalent.

I didn't see anything about the woman taking her case to the courts. To me, if she was saving a man's life there would be absolutely no question of cancelling the charge. I suppose she could hold out and wait for the car park company to take HER to court. In possession of the full facts, I think the court would almost certainly find in her favour.

Thanks for that Judd. I'm on Twitter, but I don't contribute that much to it. They send me updates, that's why I got this dreadful tale of our times.

Re: Christmas Spirit in short supply in Newbury

How times have changed, I will never forget a stressful time, when I had to appear in court, I actually forgot to even notice that you had to pay, in an indoor car park, I did get a ticket, I can’t remember if I phoned them or sent a letter, it was so long ago, after explaining my reasons, they actually let me off, ..

I hope this woman will be let off, after posting on social media, I am shocked that they are still charging her, or maybe they have made their final decision.

Maybe someone from social media will cover the bill, let’s hope so...someone with a lot of money to spare.
