Re: Is being generous really a kindness?
If I see somebody that is homeless sitting in the street looking half dead, I'll usually give them a couple of bucks. If somebody says to me"But how do you know they're not going to spend it on drugs/ alcohol/cigarettes etc etc!".."How do you know they are really homeless!?"..I don't really care. IT's my two bucks. IT's up to me and me only if I decide to give it to somebody in the street. IT's nobody else's place to judge me. I don 't know that person's history any more than all the other passers by do. Would a person who had a home live in the street by choice? My attitude is there but for the grace of fate go I. I don't want a medal or a ticket to Heaven. I have no comment about those who don't give or care. I don't need to be labelled "generous". I just like to think that if I was in their place somebody would give a damn about me. THat's all.Re: Is being generous really a kindness?
