Update.........I followed the instructions
If your cursor freezes, jumps or disappears, you can fix the problem by reinstalling its driver. To do that, follow these steps: Press Windows Key + X to open Win + X menu and choose Device Manager from the menu.
At this point, there's only "Mice and other pointing Devices" - so I did the right-click thing and it says "Scan for hardware changes" - so I clicked on that..........is that job done then?
Must say, nothing much happened.
The other option besides "scan for hardware changes" is Properties - so I clicked on that next - which took me to a small icon with "mice and other pointing devices" - nothing happens if I point at that and the only other options are Ok which closes the box and returns to Device Manager, or Cancel, which does the same!
