You never see courting couples in my area anymore, when I was taking out the missus in the early sixties you would see half a dozen couples wrapped around each other at various street corners, especially when the cinema closed on Friday or Saturday nights.
We had our own favourite corner outside the widow Murphy's gate, we were up against the hedge one night when she let out a deep moan "Oooooh Jimmy", somethings working here I says to myself, then another moan, "Ooooooh Jimmy... can yeh move back a bit theres a branch sticking in the small of me back and it's killin me"
She never did like discomfort of any kind and was never afraid to speak out, she hasn't changed one bit.
I wonder where they do the courting nowadays, or maybe they just skip all that now and get straight down to it, I wouldn't know, I'm just old fashioned.

I never lurked around the hedges of Dublin to be sure to be sure - spittie I'll see you later on sat evening at the firemans ball - I understand you will be displaying yours??
