Resettling Refugees: A Global Headache

We've seen lately in the news of differing countries efforts to relocate refugees ... specifically unwanted refugees.

The Aussies have entered into an agreement with Cambodia that has been an expensive failure.
Very few who went, have remained .. claiming they were made promises that remain unfulfilled.
One such .. who received 10,000 US dollars to go and opened a restaurant , now complains that after a year and half his family have not been allowed to join him.

Likewise, Israel, who also had the same idea this year suspended their intended 'forcible' deportation of 35,000 Eritreans and Sudanese nationals to Rwanda, who faced imprisonment if they refused, after international condemnation and pressure to abandon what was deemed 'cruel and illegal'.

Not an uncommon problem ... the UK too has it's own problems over how to curb economic migrants... as opposed to genuine refugees, though the dividing line is very unclear.
One only has to remember the Jungle at Calais crammed with desperate, and often violent wannabe's harassing lorry drivers to get through the Chunnel. Did we want them here? No, we didn't.

And lately, Brazil ordered it's Border closed to stem Venezuelan immigrants .. and the USA is intending to build a wall to stem Mexicans.

So ... is it acceptable to try and offload and relocate unwanted 'migrants' onto another country willing to take them if they receive handsome financial inducements? Even if the migrant themselves get a 'gift' of 10,000 dollars to do so.

Is this the way forward to redistribute excess people around the world?

Is it morally wrong? On a par with shunting people around like cattle?
Or a good feasible solution to keep them out?
Could we, in the UK do this?

It would seem in the UK you have become 'paralysed' and incapable of solving any of your migrant problems including all those good folks who decided to leave each year and leave space for more 'undesirables'?

Not genuine refugees escaping persecution but economic migrants (mainly men) flooding into Europe in the belief of having a better life but not being prepared to adopt the customs and habits of the host countries. The influx of so many (a pox on Merkle for opening the flood gates) is causing untold problems for the original populations in those countries with rises in violent crime, sexual assaults and creating no-go areas in cities. Europe is a soft touch, too soft for its own good. These migrants should be shipped back immediately to where they came from and the traffickers punished. If the many boats attempting the trip to Europe are denied entry and sent back immediately perhaps they will get the message not to bother even trying.

No-one could fail to be horrified by the hundreds of usually trafficked illegal economic immigrants drowning at sea in their attempts to reach Europe, but when traffickers have been using their mobiles to actually phone the rescue ships to let them know "they are on their way" it defies belief! Off go the rescue ships to the location where they believe they are, pick them up and here they are. Destination paid for as promised, delivered by personal ferry service.

says it all!!

Yep,

Total lunacy. As others have said, once rescued just take them back to where they came from. It won't take long for them to get the message.

It also makes you wonder how many of those that sneak over on lorries are still here? If they were immediately deported, they's get the message as well.

The whole thing is ludicrous.

Same thing happened in Gran Canaria a few months ago. Boats just turned up on a beach, they disembarked and ran away.

Mind you it also happened in Suffolk last summer. Boat came in to a quiet piece of coastline and the boat people just ran across a car park, through the trees and disappeared.

Yes, even worse, Economic migrants with more money are paying for a 1st class route into the UK by being met in Belgium by traffickers, then transported via small aircraft to tiny, insignificant airfields in the UK. With the acute shortage of customs officers, they are then just strolling through customs and they're in. Talk about complete lack of security!
What worries me is we don't know who it is that is just breezing through our porous borders.
