I think all hard people have one weak link. It might be a relative, an animal or something that is able to reach a soft spot in their hard heart.

I think kindness comes in a number of forms. I was brought up to treat people with respect, treat other people as you wish to be treated yourself.
A kindness can be just helping somebody out. Or it can be just being there for somebody not necessarily some one you know, just providing an ear for some one as happens on here.

Think how much worse they would be if they weren't as nice as they (think) they are.
