Great Dorset Steam Fair - pic heavy!

Here you go - pics from today. There are lowering skies in many of them but the day was actually perfectly pleasant - some bits of sun and no rain (bonus!)

....and that's as much as I can get from Photobucket at the moment. I have tractor pictures if anyone is an antique tractor fan ..... ?

Fantastic machines DM, I love looking round events like that.

It looks very quiet there ...... maybe because it had just opened?

dinahsmum - lovely pictures of Blandford Steam Fair. Whereabouts in the West Country do you live? I am from Street (Somerset) which is near Glastonbury. I visited the Blandford Steam Fair years ago with my husband and children. It was a delightful visit and very enjoyable.

dinahsmum - following on from my previous reply, I forgot to ask if you happened to see a man with Border Collie sheep dog(s) which herded ducks instead of sheep? I have a distant relation who lives in South Wales and he was going to attend the Blandford Show.

Hi Mags - no, not just opened - it was actually (sort of) winding down, being the last day. There were plenty of people there (they reckon 200,000 - 250,000 over the 5 days)

Joy - I live in Dorset

Tractor pics?

(Think I might have pulled there!)

I had to do a double take with the yellow tractor pic........... the driver looks so much like Ronnie Corbett!

It looks like a good day out, that tractor with the spiky wheels looks scary!

Sorry Joy - I didn't notice this before.
Yes, we saw the sheepdogs herding geese (I think they were geese)
Didn't watch the whole show but we saw a young dog (Jack-Jack) going through his paces
