"Afterlife"

I've just read a short story by Stephen King about a guy who dies of cancer.
He gets the choice of living his life over again, exactly as it was, or vanishing forever.
He wouldn't remember anything about his life if he chose to live again apart from the odd feeling of deja vu.
I don't think I'd like the same again, would you?

Yes, I could then right some of the wrongs.....and there have been many.

Edit: That'd be no good....just realised I wouldn't remember the wrongs so couldn't right them

Hmmm - Exactly as it was did you say?
I don't think so - not if I couldn't change some things.

Another way of looking at it though, is what ever tough experiences we might have had, at least we survived them, we pulled through.

Now would I go through them again, or would I prefer just to disappear forever instead. . . ooh, not sure, think I would risk it again.

No thanks - I'd rather call it a do and disappear.

That's sad Judd.
But you are a survivor, you have proved that.

(Pain in the bum on LTP thread though).

Tempting of course but no, life is only precious because it is limited.

Re: "Afterlife"

What's the point if you can't learn from your mistakes?

Just wondering Tessa, what did the man in the story choose?
