Re: Impeachment of Donald Trump

Change the laws to stop abuses of power.

https://www.vox.com/2018/7/19/175815...nancial-crisis

The reason is a culture of elite impunity, where business and political leaders face absolutely no accountability for misdeeds. And it’s a culture that many political elites have fostered, and from which they have personally benefited.

Graphic video shown as ex-president called 'inciter in chief'

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-56020251

Senators at Donald Trump's second impeachment trial have been shown new dramatic and graphic video of the day his supporters stormed the US Congress.

The footage showed police engaging in hand-to-hand clashes with rioters and desperately pleading for support.

Officers ushered politicians to safety, sometimes within metres of the mob breaking into the chambers.

Using Mr Trump's own words and tweets, Democrats prosecuting the case argued he had acted as "inciter in chief".

Acquittal will 'set a new, terrible standard for presidential misconduct', Lead impeachment manager Jamie Raskin.

Indeed it will, unless changes are made.Imo

Won't get them off the hook, they can probably see that now, they have to face the consequences.

Re: Impeachment of Donald Trump

It will be over at the weekend.

There seems to be an awful lack of evidence.

On the other hand, Biden and Harris should be investigated for impeachment for the support of an organisation (BLM) who campaign for civil unrest, direct action and abolishment of the police.

Re: Impeachment of Donald Trump

So the House Impeachment Managers are saying that Donald Trump "is not being impeached for his words".

^^^ yes thats what they said.

This is what the prosecution running away from their own case looks like

Re: Impeachment of Donald Trump

I'm afraid this last four years persecution of a legitimately elected President is something that the Democrats will come to regret. The have never forgiven him for his treatment of Hilary Clinton. I accept Trump is not the perhaps the best President the USA have ever had but he was elected by a majority.
Trump is not going to go away and in four year time who know what mayhem he could create. In the meantime many voters in the Mid-West feel they have nobody who represents their interests.
