Re: Cats v Decorations

Oh how I remember those days! Every year I put our Christmas tree up, I knew what I would find the next morning ...... baubles all over the floor, tinsel awry Cassie used to play havoc during the night! Fortunately she is too old to shoot up through the middle of the tree any more, many a time I used to find her resting on one of the upper branches.

Here she is checking if anyone is watching before her playtime begins ....

..... and caught in the act

Re: Cats v Decorations

It must be amazing to a cats brain to see something like a tree in their
lounge all of a sudden and normally it is outside.
There is nothing else to do as a cat but attack those dangling things
that look so interesting and tempting. You can even climb it like you
do outside.
My cats over the years have sprayed urine on my false trees, climbed
them and devastated my baubles. Saying that I do know its my fault

Re: Cats v Decorations

These so made me laugh.

It was always Abigail that used to love knocking the tree over and playing with the baubles. It was surprising how hard she could hit those baubles. Used to love catching her out and she would have that look as if to say what me?

We always put fake snow and stuffed toys around the tree and if we could not find Samantha anywhere we would always find her asleep somewhere amongst the whole lot.

Re: Cats v Decorations

They made me smile too. What is it with cats and Christmas trees! My two used to devastate the tree and tried to look innocent of any wrongdoing - tinsel strands hanging off them showed them up for being the untruthful creatures they were
