Re: Last Day of 2019 and it's a Bit Warm

I have relatives in Maroubra Beach NSW and watching all the events unfolding is like watching something from a film. You can't take the enormity of it all in. It's too big and so out of hand to seem real and yet is is..

My thoughts are with you all

It's what you're used to I guess, personally I can't stand winter, anything below 19/20° is too cold for me.

Remember this is not normal (or hasn't been before now)

An inevitable consequence of the anthropogenic effects on climate change. Admittedly annual bush burn-outs are a regular events but what is taking place as regards climate change is now global and the severity will also be increasingly be more pronounced.

It’s so scary Bruce, day after day of horror and wondering what you will wake up to.

My thoughts are with you all.

Yes, what you get used to, I guess. And how you deal with it.
I've been to places that were about -25C in the winter that got to +30C in the summer. The humidity has a lot to do with it too.

In the event, it got up to a searing 5C here on our second stroll but no wind. Good warm coat does the business.

Gosh! Bruce, I wish we could send all our rain to you there. A terrible situation to be in for anyone. Though the fires are dreadful I guess the smoke isn't good for anyone either.
