Excruciating Film Sequels
Whilst in company, the conversation turned to the most cringe-worthy film sequels to be produced.
Top of the league seemed to be the second 'Sex and the City' movie and the follow-up to "Bridget Jones' Diary".
Personally, having found "Mamma Mia" an embarrassment, needless to say I abhorred the follow-up.
What think you?

The second "Woman in Black" film was very disappointing. Possibly because the first one was so very good.

I never enjoy the sequels as much as the original.
I did however enjoy the sequel Any Which Way You Can, the Clint Eastwood follow up to Any Which Way But Loose.

Any of the 'Magnificent Seven' sequels. Far inferior to the original.
Having said that, the new version (reboot) was okay.

Any of the "Alien" sequels - once the alien was "exposed" in the original the rest were just monster movies to make megabucks .....
Once a great movie idea is "franchised" then, IMO, it loses all credibility .....
There ARE a couple of exceptions, though .....

I think most people agree that No2 was actually the best film out of all of them. I didn't like 3 much though.

Definitely. It goes back to show how he became the Don.
