Well I'm not sure they are now. That just what I always thought. I have always changed the laces when buying new shoes.

Apologies, I was using those as an example for my lace technique for Besoeker's boots .....

I've had Brasher boots in the past but found them overpriced and soon worn out, so, amongst others, I tried Northwestern Territory at £40 a pair - they may look cheap and nasty but they do the job (short walks), so I bought another two pairs in different colours, all for less than a pair of Brashers .....



I've also used a couple of pairs of Hi-Tec for longer walks:

We thought our dog was ill and had pooed out something ghastly.But it was a shoe lace.

I agree, I always thought it was just personal preference.
