No, No, never would l have air fresheners in my house. They are lethal things that make me wheeze. The worst ones are the ones that ‘spit’ out chemicals every now and then.

Opening windows and letting fresh air in would be a better option.

I won't use air fresheners for the same reason, in addition the scents are so synthetic.

I use St Eval tin candles - they are made in Cornwall. They do not smoke, they last a long time and the fragrances are very natural. I have lavender ones in the bathrooms and loos, thyme & mint in the kitchen, and rose or lavender in the bedrooms. As for black mould - there are several products on the market for removing this and preventing its recurrence - check on Amazon or in places like B&Q
