When I was 11 years old which is 50 years ago. My best friend Joan lived about 3 doors away from Joe Brown Grove Green Road Leytonstone. Her big brother who was also blonde was his best friend. I never met him but Joan used to talk about him. That was my claim to fame. Oh yes and my bruvver knew Lonnie Donegan.My particular favourite of that time was Adam Faith.

Joe Brown is still doing the rounds.We have seen him a few times over recent years. Always a good show and never too noisy.

One of the Bruvvers, Neil Gauntlett, was a great guitar player with a good bass voice. I was sorry when he died.

Lovely Jo Brown - he reminds me of my cockney roots. Can anyone remember a song which started "At this time of year you will always be sending love's amazing grace". I cannot think what the song was called, but I would love to find it again. Anybody help. It was one of his more serious songs.
