Nope, I'd get banned as a bad influence.

Re: Fess up

When I was about 7 while out Christmas shopping with my mum, she told me to stand by the pick n mix counter in Woolworths. She must have been buying my Christmas present as she left me there for about 10 minutes ON MY OWN!!!

Well it was 10 minutes too long because having had the angel and the devil fight it out for that long, the devil obviously won.
When my mum came back my teeth were still clamped together with golden toffee!

I can still remember how the back of my thighs smarted from that slapping

Re: Fess up

First thing this morning I bought some trifle bakewells.
My redemption is that up until now, I've only eaten four.

However, the other two will get demolished as soon as I've made a cup of tea.

In my defence, I've hardly eaten anything else all day, just a bit of cheese and four cherry tomatoes.

However, as I've been supine in front of a fan all day,I haven't burnt any calories to speak of.

What is my penance, if any should be due?

Three press ups
10 sit ups
20 squats
And a Hail Mary for good measure

Can't do sit-ups......they're bad for my back
Can't do squats........bad knees

I can remember the Hail Mary though! I'll do four of those instead!
In fact, I'll do six, one for each trifle Bakewell!

(Phew! Got off lightly there!!)

You didn't need to do any of those and neither did Rhian! You could both have done my share and I haven't had a Bakewell of any description for years and years!

Re: Fess up

When I was 6 I had very narrow feet, so my mum and dad took me to shops where they sold sensible shoes. I hated the shoes they sold there so i did a good acting job of pretending they hurt my little toe.
While my parents were discussing their next move I rubbed my toe through my sock very hard, to make it red, and told them to look at it.
They decided the shoes were not the right fit for me so went to another ( less sensible) shop, where I found a pair that I really liked... so they bought them.
This is the first time I have confessed & my parents never knew!

Re: Fess up

I remember at age 3 or 4 climbing up on the chair to the kitchen cabinet to get the scissors (where I had spied they were being hidden) and then cutting lots of little circles into the net curtains.
