Yes, he came back this year forcing the winds to go out on the Atlantic Ocean, therefore keeping the hurricane and severe/tropical storms from coming into Florida and the Southern coast of the US.

El Nino and his sister La Nina alternate. This was an El Nino year as Tondi said.
