An all too common trait of many leavers is that they try to shut down debate often because their arguments do not stand scrutiny, There are of course exceptions where debate is robust and factual
I don't see what there is to debate. It has already been decided.
I wonder how his older countrymen feel about the matter, they surely being there when our soldiers pushed the Germans back and gave the Dutch their freedom.

Mrs Mays so called deal has been rejected by Parliament three times.
It is now being reported that she is bringing it back again.

There will be no way forward without that deal. No deal has been excluded by parliament, another deal is excluded by EU.
If I understand correctly, it is not the deal as such but the bill to turn the conditions of it into legislation. That will not go down easily. The last payment of the the £39 bln will be made in 2060. Untill that time there will be a relation between the EU and the UK.
