colour of cars

Went for a ride this morning, and noticed that there arent many cars on the road coloured green, they are definitly in the minority, and I got to wondering why, ? any of you good people both here and abroad got any answers.

We remarked the other day that 99% of the cars in our road are silver or grey.

Re: colour of cars

Green has been considered an unlucky colour for cars for many years.

You won't find many green cars at racetracks because they are also considered unlucky.

Re: colour of cars

My very first car in 1968 was an enormous two-tone green Morris Oxford with a huge leather bench seat. Loved that car....

My second car was a green Hillman Imp (Horrible, horrible car)

I haven't had a green car since!
