Re: colour of cars

Saw a pale pink sedan yesterday and had to really stare and be sure it wasn't just an off-white with my eyes playing tricks. Had to be a custom paint job, but why bother?

My last 3 vehicles have been black, not that I prefer it, but they happened to be what I was looking for and colour wasn't a big factor. If I were to choose a new car now I'd likely pick a bright colour for a change. I don't like red interiors - they feel very claustrophobic to me. I can't read a red display on the dash at night either. The numbers go double and blurry. This never happens when I look at numbers lit up in other colours, just red.

I always buy a white car for several reasons, heats up less in the sun so air con works less, is more visible, holds its resale value better and finally something I only discovered when I bought my last car - most car makers here now charge extra for colours other than white (?)

Thanks - good points, especially visibility. It seems grey cars are the least noticed so I'd probably avoid that.
