I would never vote for the Tories but she was a necessary evil at a time when the trade unions were behaving irresponsibly.

Won't be two faced about it - I came to detest the woman, although I will admit to voting for the Toe-rags when she became the leader of the Tory party! I regretted it often after that.

However, will admit she stuck to her guns.

Exactly, this is the problem with this democracy of ours, once a cross is placed in a box, you have to put up with someone else's gun fire, regardless.

87 is a pretty good innings. I think she was one of Britain's greatest prime ministers - unlike the current shower at no.10.
