Don't think I'm prissy but, no, I don't like crude stuff at all - just not funny.

I absolutely love quick witted people. I'm going to see Paul Merton on Monday evening and it's a sort of "whose line is it anyway?". I can guarantee I'll spend the night laughing. We go every time he's here and he never disappoints. There's a few bits of innuendo in between. I can't wait.

prissy
ˈprɪsi/
adjective
adjective: prissy; comparative adjective: prissier; superlative adjective: prissiest
1 fussily and excessively respectable."a middle-class family with two prissy children"
2 synonyms:
3 prudish, priggish, prim, prim and proper, niminy-piminy, strait-laced; Moreformal, proper, stuffy, mimsy, namby-pamby, Victorian, old-maidish, schoolmistressy, schoolmarmish, governessy;
po-faced;
informalgoody-goody, starchy;
raresquare-toed, Grundyish
"he hated it when she swore, but he didn't like to sound prissy"

I had to look the word up Alan, I’ve heard it before and had an idea what it meant but it’s not used a lot over here. I’m glad to say I am none of the above. Schoolmistressy? I had thought of being a Schoolmistress many years ago but I wore the wrong colour nail polish on my toes to the interview.
No I don’t like over the top jokes at all.

Anybody wanting to join my clique, there's a password! I like the niminy piminy, mimsy think I'll use that!
Actually, if people want to post crude stuff and laugh at it the Adult Humour section is a good idea, keeps it away from us mimsy types

I think it was a real brainwave of Azz’s to do that, everyone is happy and those who like over the top jokes can laugh their heads off, you can’t be fairer than that. Nothing as bad as one of the grandkids coming up behind me at the computer and saying “Granda, whats a xxxxxx?”

I'd forgotten all about the adult humour thread. Now you have reminded me I'm gonna have to take a look.
