Re: Scotland

Dear May,
What I posted came from the news item on BBC. There were 3 people discussing it, and that sort of view came from one of the panel, who has a scottish mother and her family, and an English father and his family. To be fair the other 2 panelists, who were English, couldn't see what difference it could make.
It isn't always the English who are "against" the Scots. But some Scots themselves. On a distant side of my family I have some Scottish relatives, who said they would have moved to England had the referendum gone the other way.
Have a good day.

Arthur

Hi Arthur, I didn't see that article. I can't imagine it being the case. I think it would be ridiculously narrow minded it it was. Some articles just like to wind people up. I've never understood the Scotland/England supposed hate campaign for some. Anyone who visits the north of Scotland will notice that the owners of hotels and guest houses are mostly English .

Re: Scotland

me personally,I love the Scots you won't find a more welcoming, friendly country anywhere (except for us Welsh) I've been there quite a few times on rugby tours and always had a warm welcome.

Roughguides has said Glasgow is the friendliest city in the world . I'm off up there today to take on some of their hospitality Twelve minutes on the train from me and I love it. Such a great atmosphere and very cosmopolitan. I'm very proud to be Scottish and don't make any secret about it.

That's where I am, as far north as you can go without falling in the Pentland Firth. But very few English in my wee bit.
