If the screaming on begins when the engine starts, it could be worn or loose drive belts on air conditioning, fan, power steering, etc., depending on the car. This shows up often in cold weather when the belts are stiff. After a little warm up they quiet down. Could also be something else. Try to get someone to look under the hood when you give it the first start to get an idea about where it is coming from (keeping all body parts out of the way). Good luck.Re: Who knows about cars?
You can easily check to see if the fanbelt is loose. On the longest part of the belt see how much movement there is.Thread Tools | |
