Re: All inclusive holidays ?
I'm not keen on them as I like to get out and about and eat and drink at lots of different places. If you've paid for all inclusive you may feel you are paying twice for drinks, snacks and meals that you wish to take in the local bars etc. I do, however, think they're a good idea for families where they may want to spend most of their time around the hotel.Re: All inclusive holidays ?
I love them , think they are good value, but then we mainly want to be in and around the hotel, no particular desire to wander off. Just want to relax, dip, sip, eat and chat . Which is exactly what I will be doing from Monday onwards for a fortnight.Re: All inclusive holidays ?
They're my idea of a holiday from hell. I want to be out and about, seeing the sights, shopping and eating in local bars & restaurants. The last thing I want to do is to spend time round a hotel with a load of touristsRe: All inclusive holidays ?
I have been on all inclusive but I donīt really like them. I donīt want 3 big meals a day with snacks in between, I very rarely drink alcohol and when in hot countries never drink it at all. I like to be out and about seeing the country, talking to the locals and having a drink, snack or meal at a local cafe/restaurant. The only people who get rich out of all inclusive hotels are the hotel owners, the locals simply get poorer and poorer because the tourists donīt even go to try their establishments, they donīt want to pay for a drink or food when they have already paid the hotel. As for trips out, well donīt forget the holiday rep gets commission for each booking and they will do their utmost to convince you that it isnīt wise or safe to book outside the hotel........absolute rubbish.Re: All inclusive holidays ?
We've never gone all inclusive simply because you would need to stay round and about the hotel to get what you are paying for. I would soon get fed up with that. When we go abroad we like to see and learn as much about the country as we can, which includes tasting that country's cuisine.Re: All inclusive holidays ?
We never even choose hotels preferring to rent a house if possible.
