Can also use lemon juice. Of course, if like me you live in a soft water area this is not necessary cos there is no build up of limescale to deal with. But if you do have the problem the same method ie lemon juice or vinegar works on kettles. Oh, and if you have cooked fish in your microwave and the smell has lingered, then a little lemon juice and water in a suitable container, heated and allowed to boil for a minute or two will kill the smell.Re: How to clean a Steam Iron
