Is it? Well that is surprising because quite a few people in our area put wanted ads on Freecycle for goods for car boot sales. The MODs don't object. I have met one very pleasant lady who collects my smaller bits of 'junk' specifically for this purpose. She donates 25% of her earnings to charity.

Re: Freecycle

Well maybe it has changed, Willow, but when I looked at freecycle a few years ago there was definitely a clause that said things were not to be collected for resale.
Then again, there is no way they could police it anyway, so I guess it doesn't matter.

Of course they can't police it, and why shouldn't people resell the 'junk' of others?

This morning I put an ad for a very heavy wooden 'love seat' on Freecycle. Knowing how thick some people are, I explained it wouldn't go in the boot of a car (once someone asked if they could get the upright piano, I was getting rid of, in the boot of their fiesta!). However that didn't stop some asking if they could get it in their small cars! As you can imagine I ignored those twits. I had another woman giving me her whole life history, no doubt looking for the sympathy vote, OH DEAR!
