Most of our holidays start and end at Southampton on board ship avoiding airports

Due to medical problems, I'm not allowed long-haul flights anymore, so am confined to Europe. I quite often fly into Belfast Aldergrove, but then that's only just over an hour's flight from Gatwick. Flying across Europe I like to know precisely where I am, so watch out for physical features below me, a mountain, a lake, a river, a city or town. Flying is merely a means to an end - to travel to a destination far more quickly than overland transport can offer.

One thing that makes me laugh when I go to Asia is that during an eight hour flight from say, Sydney to KL, the first five hours are spent flying over Australia.

Really hate it, so restricting. Also hate the waiting and queuing palaver at airports either end too.

This week, two of my daughters have flown out to Cambodia and will then fly to visit friends who teach in Malaysia.
The two flights to Cambodia were long with lots of turbulence. I would hate that

Air turbulence is no-where near as bad as being caught in rough weather at sea.

I don't really like flying much.

The shortest plane trip I've been on was a flight from Belfast to Londonderry. The plane then went on to Dublin.

Love flying,hate Airports as I know the security buzzer will go off because of My titanium joints and I'll have to be frisked..yuck!

Haha, brilliant!

It's like pulling teeth to get the men in my family to fly unless they are in the cockpit...and my dad says he doesn't go anywhere unless he's "behind the wheel" .
