'Vote Leave' fined by Electoral Commission

Oops - 'Vote Leave' have broken electoral laws (what else is new???) and have been investigated, found 'guilty' and fined by the Electoral Commission.

So they spent a few quid over the limit....Big Deal.
They didn't make a fuss when the tories went over the limit causing a few UKIP hopefuls to lose their seats, especially in Thanet.....

It would be laughable if it wasn't such a threat to democracy....What else are they going to come up with...

They've been well and truly framed when you consider they were not spoken to or allowed to explain. Not to mention the huge amounts spent by government for Remain and funded by the Taxpayer and Industrialists with vested interests. The Electoral Commission is also well packed with Remainers

Hi

The problem is that this now opens the way to a challenge on the Referendum.

There was a gentleman on the TV news just now who pointed out that the Remain group had overspent much more than the Leave group.

I suspect that the remainiacs are becoming even more desperate to overrule the Brexit decision by any means they can.

Certainly a politcal decision, and a political decision not to launch an investigation into the remain camp which, if you include the government expenditure on that ridiculous leaflet for every household plus the mobilisation of the whole of the civil service to generate project fear, must run into many, many millons more that leave ever spent... for all the good it did them though, talk about anti productive.....

They were asked 5 times to explain to the Commission and refused to co-operate each time.
They broke the rules on funding, lied about it and now the police are involved. They haven't put up any arguments apart from "we wuz framed". But that is standard for Leavers, none have any coherent reason for leaving except they want to go back to the days of Empire when their type ruled the world

Who says they were asked 5 times? The electoral commission of course. but being made up of people who have expressed opinions supporting Remain, they would wouldn't they?
No answer for the Government expenditure, the overspending by Remain, the enlisting of big business with vested interests and the fact that they are on a commission who are supposed to be neutral but they are not, then?
