I can think of an American I would like to see on board that rocket, he could send tweets back to earth describing the journey.

I can think of a few Brits too.

This mission has been about 60 years in the planning so it's a great achievement, particularly when it comes to the special heat shield. Eventually it will run out of fuel, turn and burn up but not for about ten years.

I can see it now ten years hence, NASA space probe causes massive solar flare engulfing and totally destroying the Earth.

It does indeed. It makes me wonder if in ten years we'll be out of the EU before we are consumed by a rain of fire.
