Thank you for all your replies and advice .
I have researched it wren seem nice and are cheaper than Howdens .
My builder -all builders recommend Howdens but I am suspicious of builders do they get a cut or something ?

I am so muddled now I don't know what to do

Muddy, l have never heard of Wren. I think Howdens are ok if you can get a good discount.
My kitchen units were from Jewson in 2007, when there was a really good offer on and they still look like new!
At the time, we had to find our own kitchen fitter and that was the hardest part.

I'm now on my second Howdens kitchen, I sold the last one after 14 years for what I'd paid for it. They not seem to 'wear' at all.
The present one is five years old and came with things like a tall fridge freezer for 1p in the promotion, cabinets and the appliances are still like new.
