Chinon

I forgot to put up any pictures of Chinon. It is a very attractve little town, on a river and overlooked by the ruined castle. A lot of joint history with England.
It wasn't the greatest day when we visited - a bit gloomy and blustery - but there is plenty to see and keep amused





This is le grand carai - in its time one of the most important thoroughfares in Europe, now just wide enough for one car!

There's heaps of time for you Azz
Other than a brief school trip I had never been abroad till I was 35. That was my first flight too. Now - I've been blimmin everywhere, seen everything ... well, sort of
