Re: Tragic Horses

Weird happenings . . .

The horses have gone.

My friend told me today, that is is all over Facebook - which I don't do.
Apparently they 'disappeared' during the night, last night.

Well it wouldn't have been a charity or the cops at night would it, so I can only assume the gipsy's took them back.
Maybe they saw it all over the telly and newspapers, and saw that the police were trying to trace the owners, so crept down at night and removed them - dunno.

Thing is, what have they done with them?
Unless someone else felt so strongly about the state they were in, so they have nicked them?
Who knows - but they've gone.
Weird.

Re: Tragic Horses

I would like to know the horses are now somewhere safe and being looked after properly.

Yes, no doubt a lot of people would, Mags.

Very strange isn't it.

Who knows Mups, when the fields dry out and the weather is better, they may even reappear in the field. Hopefully they have been moved to safety.

It was on the telly a few times yesterday.
Peter Bone, the local Conservative MP was there, with camera's rolling.
He didn't flippin' bother till he heard about over 9,000 signing the petition now!

Im afraid it does'nt bode well for those poor horses Mups, it sounds
like they have been removed by the so called owners, as any
respectable organisation would have put out a notification of its
intentions before acting.
Perhaps the rspca can work in conjunction with the police and
community to trace where they went by checking local security
camera footage for the night in question?
Like local shops, garages and even private houses!
Maybe a vehicle registration number can be picked up??
Scum like this need punishing!

Better news today on BBC News – more than 40 horses on land in Wellingborough have been rounded up and taken away by police and animal charities:

That's great news Baz, a shame three of the horses died though.

Yes, and someone on the news item was making a comment about how long a dead horse had remained there. Also it was stated that there were 11,500 signatures on the petition. It should never take this long, all those signatures and the deaths of three horses to get something done, really appalling that is, a week would have been far too long!

Reading this item again the last paragraph really is a joke considering how long those horses had been there:

"The RSPCA said anyone grazing their horses on the land without permission would face having them removed and potentially seized."

So why had they not taken some action a long time ago? That may even have saved the horses that eventually died.
