Re: All over mystery rash!

With any rash over the body I think it would be advisable to phone the doctor's surgery for advice before going out amongst people.

I agree mags, our surgery lets you in the back door to wait in a separate room to avoid contaminating anyone else.

My surgery would expect you to crawl in the main door, or at least that's what it seems at times. Then you wonder why viruses are rife.

Re: All over mystery rash!

Just a thought Carol have you taken any new medication recently which you could be allergic to. Something similar happened to me many years ago, it was the first time I had been prescribed this particular drug and yes to my dismay found I was allergic to it. In the meantime hope it has settled down but find out the cause anyway.

Re: All over mystery rash!

I saw the pharmacist today and she carefully looked at the rash. I told her it started soon after I'd come in from the garden.
She said so long as I felt ok in myself it was almost certainly something in the garden that had caused it.
It's still there. I was advised to carry on taking piriton and it would be a lot better by the end of the week.

Hurrah for that!!

Re: All over mystery rash!

It does look like an allergy to me, especially as you say it's itching, I think it looks like you have had a reaction to something.
It looks like the sort you might get from medication or it could be related to the gardening.
Are you taking antibiotics or anything like that, antihistamines should help, do seek professional advice if it's still there tomorrow.

PS Have just seen your post Carol, I hadn't realised the original post wasn't this afternoon, it did look like a typical allergic reaction, any euphorbia in the garden ?

Re: All over mystery rash!

Yes Carol keep taking the piriton. Keep the itch at bay and you can get a sleep inbetween times until you feel better again. These wee allergies crop up and go away again just out of the blue. You'll probably never know what caused it.
