Great thread!Mine is currently different to what I'd normally have (more 'fast' food) because we have builders in
Fresh veg (for roasting/steaming) - Courgettes, marrow, squashes, aubergines etc
Some meat
Some fish
Couscous (barley)
Brown Bread - not something I normally have!
Edam cheese, salad, onions, lettuce etc
Water
Milk - for homemade yoghurt
Un-pasturised butter
Duck fat (now buy from Amazon - much cheaper!)
Herbs

We do a supermarket shop every 2 weeks and local shops, maybe once a week.Typically supermarket (split between Asda, Lidl & Tesco) lists would include...
Bacon
Flora
Benecol
Yoghurt
Baked beans
Kidney beans
Tinned tomatoes
Cheese
Sherry
Lemon & grapefruit cordial
Everyday wine
Fruit & vegetables
Bread flour & yeast
possibly chicken or lamb
milk.
From the local independant shops...
Fish from fishmonger
beef, sausages, eggs etc from the butcher
potatoes from the coal merchant (he sells coal and logs too)

So far this week, it's been:Dog food
Cat food
Parrot pellets.
Fresh veggies and fruit for parrot and turtles.
Beer and wine and rum, and coke. (hubby is on holiday!)
All meat, fish, etc is still coming from freezer, along with what's left of frozen veggies from garden.
Fresh veggies etc for humans is ok for a few more days.
I make the bread.
We're a wee distance from the shops, so the freezer is used a lot.

Also, what's a joint? Isn't it something you smoke?
I've also never heard of buying duck fat, & Amazon sells that?
