I think it is a good idea to accustom children to eating different things...We weren't rich by any means but my mother would bring back small amounts of things I had never tasted before..e.g. lychees..passion fruit..

my 3 grandchildren were all brought up on 'Baby Led Weaning' which is very messy but consequently they eat just about anything and everything .
