My slabs.

Rather than replace,I’m going to upcycle, off to Wilco to buy some masonry paint, shall I go for pink?

I will post a before and after picture, have to give those slabs a good wash first.

Has any members here painted walls or slabs?

Re: My slabs.

I've painted exterior sills and window surrounds with white Sandtex. That is good stuff, easy to a apply and long lasting, turns a bit yellowish over the years where the water lies.

Not sure masonry paint would be suitable for high traffic areas, ie, constantly walked on, but as I’ve never done it, I don’t know, you may have to re treat every year,

Re: My slabs.

Go pink, Pauline and have glitter round the edges - fairy lights would make it sparkle at night time.

Re: My slabs.

Hi Pauline are you talking about these slabs in the picture...
https://www.over50sforum.com/showthread.php?t=74710

if so what is wrong with them left 'natural' .

I encouraged lichen to grow on mine I like 'natural'.

Once you paint something you will have to carry on doing so ad Infinium or they will look awful...

I have a deck, which I am cleaning at the moment, the stain has flaked, I think I will leave it natural and just oil it, I do love my deck though, I don’t fancy a pathway made of decking, but thanks for the idea, dood,

Meg and everyone else, I decided against the paint for the slabs, it looked to artificial and yes I will encourage the moss to grow, I don’t have lichen, that too looks nice, I honestly don’t know what gets into my head at times, I’ve always got to be creating something, not always for the best either.
