Toronto Mayor

Well, the city I was born & brought up in has embarrassed it's citizens again.

The mayor, Rob Ford, was found to be smoking crack cocaine ONCE AGAIN, but is finally going to get help.

Thankfully it looks like they'll elect t a new mayor. Such a great city having garbage like Rob Ford running it!

I'm afraid I have never heard of him but doesn't sound like the sort of character you want in high office does he .....

That's ok Julie, I'm the same as far as other cities go even within our own province, it's natural.

Just felt like mentioning what a jerk TO has had to put up with lately. He's been on a number of U.S. talk shows as well. He's a joke!

I listen to my radio during the nights here and Rob Ford has been mentioned quite a few times. Last time was this week saying again he had been photographed taking smack.
Last time I was annoyed with the way he defended himself and said he still had the right to be Mayor of Toronto and that everyone has a digression now and again. He said then he didn't take anything. Now he has put himself into rehab we will have to wait and see what he comes out with next. Surely he wont be able to apply to be the Mayor again after all this parlava
Cant remember all of his story but wasn't he doing something else as well as drugs?

Yes, he said something very disgusting I cannot say here regarding a detailed sex act! He openly swears too in public. A citizen saw him driving using his cell phone & when she stared at him (at a light), he gave her the finger.

Toronto will be electing a new mayor.

Wow, so he made the radio in the UK! As I said to Julie, I don't even know mayors of cities within our own province.

Yes, I've heard his name mentioned several times on the BBC radio channels and once on Sky News which I was watching in Czech Republic at the time. (In case you don't know Sky is an English language satellite TV news channel with a Europe wide footprint)

Sadly I feel that he represents the way the world is going now, the majority of people seem to either condone or tolerate such behaviour and the minute you start talking about proper punishments for such the bleeding hearts come out in force and the legal Gods quote unhappy childhood and the influence of friends. Makes me so mad.

Yes, agreed. Apparently his mother knew nothing of his excesses because "he doesn't live with me"

Seen him on the news often enough here in England.. they need to boot him out, he is no representative of the people of Toronto !
