Is that where the expression `smart-arse` comes from?

They keep trying though, I must have turned 'em down 20-odd times by now.

Re: Energy: SMART Meters

We haven't had much communication from our energy supplier. A couple of letters arrived a good while ago saying how a smart meter would save energy usage and money but that's about all. Just ignored them and nothing more so far.

Re: Energy: SMART Meters

Well the house I am buying has one, but since the current owners changed suppliers it doesn't communicate with their new supplier. I'm happy with that!

The only reason the Government require us to have a smart meter is to make the gas companies more profit. I wonder how many members of the Government are major shareholders in gas companies or are even directors?

It has been publicly declared that the saving householders make is a minimal amount and does not cover the cost of having one.

Which just proves - as far as householders go - it is a pointless exercise. No-one will force me to have one - I'll see them in gaol first!
