Re: Boris Johnson's jumket

I'm miffed that he didn't ask me along. After all I've contributed to the UK economy, I think I deserve a few freebies.

I agree Barry that ALL junketing trips should cease, but since the Toriues in particular were very quick to blame the previous Labour Government for the country's parlous financial state, was it not arrogant, ignorant and inconsiderate of him to spend so much of 'our' money at this time of fiscal rectitude???

I live in London so part of the Money I pay in local taxes was used.

You live in Brighton so none of your money was used.

Do wonder how much business this trip generated for Londoners as a whole, think it just might be more than was spent.

There is no evidence to substantiate such assertion at the moment.

Re: Boris Johnson's jumket

On a serious note, company I work at they rarely these days do any travelling they have installed a really good phone system and all meetings are done via the live phone network (it's a bit like a Skype thingy with pictures). It cost less than the trips they used to make in a year. So has paid for it's self many times over.

Only over seas trips are now to companies who have not got the good phone lines.

Cameron was slated over this by the left wing press for not doing what Merkel did.

I agree with you Patsy, a buffoon and one day may even be PM.
What a laugh that would be.
Keep up the good work Geoff, if it wasn't for people like you we probably wouldn't have known.
