Re: Supermoon and Bloodmoon..

The moon is also the closest it can get to Earth at a mere 222,000 miles. This means that it will appear to be about 14% larger than usual.

Last night, Saturday 26th, it was spectacular, and tonight promises to be even better. Unless you are in Northern Ireland, the rest of the UK will probably have a cloud-clear night.

It doesn't get any better than this, and it's F.R.E.E.......

Mind you, they will probably announce on tonight's news that a new Lunar Viewing Tax has been introduced....

Yup, same here in North Wales.

The Missus and I have resolved to get up around 2am. We should be able to see it through one of our windows.

I'm not bothering with my camera - there will be millions of others doing that. I wonder if the International Space Station will release their photo's?

Re: Supermoon and Bloodmoon..

We have a good view of the moon here in the SW at 11:00pm, very bright at the moment .... I'm hoping I'll be awake in the night (I usually am!) to see it.

Re: Supermoon and Bloodmoon..

Saw the deep brownish-red moon half an hour ago, a beautiful sight on a lovely clear night/morning. Tried to take a photo but it came out blurry
