What is an alien? Some thing or some one that should not be in a certain place.
Along time ago just after I ended my education, I worked in a photo news agency in Fleet Street. For tea, there was a large enamel jug that with a shilling in hand one would go to one of the many cafes and for that shilling the jug would get filled.
One of the cafes was Micks.
At one end of the long counter, was a menus board. It was a thing that if you gave that board a bash with your hand, the aliens would emerge running over the wall.
The aliens in question were cockroaches.
Now that reminds me of another story that includes 'Micks cafe'.
